MYTHOLOGY
VALRAVN – “Raven of the Slain”
With roots in Danish folklore, and likely dating back to 500-700AD (Most raven related references, whilst geographically ambiguous, are generally born from Wotanism); The Valravn were said to be created when a King or great Chieftain was killed in battle and remained unburied, later to be feasted upon by ravens. These ravens would become Valravne; extremely intelligent although often malicious ravens whom upon consuming the heart of a child could become Knights.
In a far more relatable twist, the Valravn has also been described as a peaceless souls searching for redemption. In this workout, we’ll search for internal peace in the fires of adversity.
